This Vehicle Standards Information No. 53 (VSI.53) provides advice about what constitutes an individually constructed vehicle (ICV), and identifies the differences between ICVs and modified vehicles. It only applies to light vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) of 4.5 tonnes or less.
