Mark Dewhurst Automotive Engineering offers Engineering VSCCS Certificates and design services for any Automotive project you may be undertaking.

Engineering services are priced at $185 per hour with additional costs for additional testing; Additional test prices vary depending on test requirements.

It is recommended you have a phone consultation before paying anything to see if your certification is possible or needed as many modifications can be made with out the need of a compliance certificate.

The Vehicle Standards Sheet Number 6 prepared by Transport NSW is a guide to modifications requiring certification and can be downloaded at the below link, this sheet specifies what modification do and don't require certification.

Mark Dewhurst Automotive Engineering has developed this website to facilitate customers engaged in engineering certification. All personal information is secure and will not be shared by any persons. The "VSCCS CERTIFICATES IN PROGRESS" section allows for easy access for both customer and Engineer to update and or upload personal information and or pictures to your personal profile pages (This is accessible after the Certification Application is complete).

first you need to read the Business agreement below.

 

Our Business Agreement states that before any compliance work you must agree to the following.

1.    You will declare all modifications to the vehicle and provide any information that is relevant to the compliance process.

2.    That you understand that for a vehicle to be certified it must be compliant to ADR's and it must be possible to prove that it is compliant by documented proof supplied by accepted sources or by Mark Dewhurst Automotive Engineering.

3.    That you understand that some vehicles or individual modifications to some vehicle can't be certified.

4.    You understand that this is not a free service and all fees need to be paid before completion.

5.    Agree that although different engineers may have different opinions on how or what is compliant Mark Dewhurst Automotive Engineering holds the final decision .

 

Step 1

First you need to become an online member/applicant for an Engineering Service provided by Mark Dewhurst Automotive Engineering, you do this by clicking on the gold " Certification Application " button at the bottom of this page, this will open a new window to the store where you purchase the Certification Application product at the cost of $40.

Please read all the steps before clicking on the button or you won't know what to do.

This application fee includes access to a secure section of the website, accessing categories that will need to be certified, building an evidence list and one on one guidance through the certification process if needed and is separate to the final cost that will be estimated and supplied with the Evidence list.

This insures that all information and photos are secure and can only be viewed by yourself and the engineer.

Please note that becoming a member through the store is an instant automated process and automatically gives you access to the "VSCCS CERTIFICATES IN PROGRESS" section.

Free signups still need to purchase the Certification Application product to gain access to the VSCCS section.

There is a help video at the bottom of the page if you need to see how the process works from start to finish.

 

Step 2

After payment or account set up is completed new sections on the main website page will be viewable towards the top under the blue menu bar called VSCCS Certificates in progress.

You must fill out the VSCCS Assessment Application This is the 4th option down , click on the link and the online form will open.

The screenshot below is a reference to what you need to click on, there is more information if needed in the " Information & Articles " section that can also be found on the home page in VSCCS Certificates in progress.

 

Step 3

Once the assessment form has been completed and all required fields have been filled select the blue SEND button at the bottom of the page and the completed form will open so you can review and edit your information if needed.

The completed form will be put into the YOUR PROJECT section.

Please allow up to 24 hours for Mark to complete the Evidence list and cost estimation that will be posted in the YOUR EVIDENCE PORTFOLIO section.

Response will be on this website only in the YOUR EVIDENCE PORTFOLIO section.

 

Understanding this website to know when there has been a reply ?

When you are logged in your name will be in the top right of all pages or in the menu screen on mobile devices, you must be logged in to see or input any information.

When logged in you will see the VSCCS Certificates in progress section that looks like this below screenshot.

the Light Blue icon indicates there is no new information or response for you since last time you visited. 

the Dark Blue icon indicates there is new information or response for you to read.  

the blue arrow icon is a link to another page.  

If you are logged into this website and either "Your Evidence Portfolio" or "Your Project" has a Dark Blue icon next to it there is a reply waiting for you to respond, click on the section and then on the topic and read and reply by clicking on the respond to this topic box at the bottom of the page, the dialog box will open and you can respond.

You can also upload documents or photos by dragging and dropping onto the paperclip icon or clicking on the icon or the choose files link next to the paperclip icon then click the blue Submit Reply button.
